Among our objectives we set ourselves a serious challenge: from a clear orientation towards the contemporary age, without abandoning previous stages, we propose to give answers to questions in which the university was and is directly involved: the incorporation of women to the classrooms and chairs; the new disciplines and their adaptation to the new scientific, economic and social realities of the different degrees through the curricula; the selection and promotion of the teaching staff; the participation of the university community in the main political and social debates as well as the new challenges of the university in today&#8217;s society.<\/p><p>We will also open the study to other cross-cutting themes that will allow us to delve deeper and learn about issues of strict university history from a political dimension -liberalism, fascism, political exile- or social -biographies, relationship between universities, attitude of the university community to the most current issues at any given time-.
